I just returned from a trip to Tallahassee with fellow NAIOP Northeast Florida Commercial Real Estate Development Association members to meet with our state legislators to discuss issues important to the commercial real estate industry.  Some of the items we discussed were growth management reform to provide stability and predictability, transportation funding (including our ports) and streamlining the sales and use tax on internet purchases to help bricks and mortar retailers. The Representatives we met with seemed energized and optimistic that this year, we will have legislation to help businesses grow in the state of Florida.
